Very nostalgic I remember the air lekages, At my home we used this bikecylce tire repair. and even a piece of tape can make a repair. but the generall quality for that kind of stuff is that you buy a new one every 2 or 3 years.
We were lucky enough to have a watering tank that used to be for horses. Worked amazingly well as an above-ground pool. Of course this was before those things, really, so we had to periodically drain it, clean it and re-fill it. Fortunately we lived on a farm with well-water, so it didn’t cost much.
Earliest memories were going to various lakes (Cedar, Michigan) and then the city built a rec center with swimming pool. That was back when there used to be, you know, a Middle Class. And why isn’t Lena on her phone in the bucket?
Too bad they do not seem to live there. You’d have to be pretty deprived to not have access to recreational water if you live there. But then again, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were.
I can remember staying at Aunt’s farm and my two female cousins taking me for a stroll in the creek that cut through their land. I didn’t have swim trunks so Aunt told me to just wear my shorts. One girl was older than me the other about my age. OH THE INNOCENCE OF YOUTH.
I was lucky enough when I was a kid to have access to the city swimming pool which had a slide and two diving boards, one was low and the other, and more popular was the high dive (great for doing flips off of).

I must say LENA has a cute little tushy in panel 3. And what happened to her phone?
If she shorts out her phone by getting it wet, do you honestly think her parents are going to replace it for her? She knows this.

What did Mom do with Lena in the 2nd panel?
I don’t think Mom was doing anything. Lena was trying to drag her outside so she’d take her to the beach.
Yep.
I was going to ask for clarification of that panel myself. Maybe not the best way to depict that action (where are Lena’s hands anyway?),
